	Sign-In  Register            Harvesting Test Plots           In early November, the Crestview FFA Chapter harvested 23 varieties and 9 brands of corn that had been planted in May as test plots. The average for the plot was 188.61 bushels per acre and the average for the 25.5 acre school farm was 172 bushels per acre. The top four hybrids were SCS 10HR43 at 208 bushels per acre, LG 5499 STX RIB at 204 bushels per acre, Dynagro D43VC50 RIB at 203, and Agrigold A6462 STX RIB at 202 bushels per acre. The chapter would like to thank Roger Fulk for the use of his combine, Jason Bryant for the use of his grain scale, Jerrod and Marvin Stuart for the use of their grain cart, Gary Lehman for his help in trucking corn, and Amanda Wagner for collecting plot samples.  1/14/16
