National Convention

On Wednesday, October 19th, 13 Crestview FFA members traveled along with students from three other area chapters to Indianapolis, Indiana to attend the 89th annual National FFA Convention. On the first day, members were able to tour the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Museum in Dayton, OH. After the two hour bus ride, their next stop was an in-depth tour of the Lebanon, IN based Reproductive Specialty Group facility. Here, students were able to see their sheep housing and artificial insemination facilities. On Thursday of the convention, Crestview FFA received their 2016 National Chapter award. Finally, students attended the third general session and listened to Ohio’s own Sydney Snider deliver her retiring address from her Eastern Region Vice President position. To round out the trip, Crestview FFA Alumni Samantha Oswalt and Abby Motter were awarded the highest achievement possible within the FFA organization, the American degree.
